2012 Major & Minor League Baseball Fields

2012 is the 112th season for Major League Baseball (MLB) and Minor League Baseball (MiLB).

Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack, I don't care if I never get back.

The first regular MLB season series will be the Seattle Mariners vs. Oakland Athletics in the Tokyo Japan.  Buy me some sushi and fried octopus balls...

Let me root, root, root for the home team, if they don't win, it's a shame.

30 MLB teams in 18 U.S. states and one Canadian province, and 160 MiLB teams in 43 states and a different Canadian province.

For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out, at the old ball game.

Minor League Baseball Is Major League Fun

What do Alabama, Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky, Montana, Oregon, West Virginia, Wyoming and 20 other states have in common?  These states don't have Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, but they do have Minor League Baseball (MiLB) teams.

Minor League Baseball offers a more up close and personal experience, with stadiums that average around 10,000 seats versus the 39-68,000 at a Major League stadium.  Add in much lower ticket prices, and suddenly minor league baseball becomes a fun family & friends outing.

Follow The Food Celebs To: Indianapolis IN

Love watching the Food Network shows like Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate?  How about the Travel Channel food show Man v Food? It's time to follow these professional foodies and try out some of the restaurants they have visited...

If you look at the map of Indianapolis IN there is an interesting resemblance between the surrounding I-465 highway and the racetrack of the Indianapolis Speedway.  Coincidence?

There is lots to ponder about this vibrant midwest metro area, and plenty to do in addition to sampling the variety of food visited by the food celebs.

How appropriate to have food celebs in Los Angeles, the "Entertainment Capital of the World", where you bump into celebs of all types just about everywhere.

With so much to do in L.A., you may want to use attraction passes to spend less and see more.  Look for the  icon to find attractions covered by the Smart Destinations Go Los Angeles Card and the SoCal Theme Park Pass, which includes attractions outside of L.A. like the San Diego Zoo.


The Los Angeles area hosts three "Big Four" sports - for MLB the Los Angeles Dodgers (NL) and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (AL), for the NBA the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, and for the NHL the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks.  As of 2010 Los Angeles is the largest city in the U.S. without a professional football team.
